Opened in 2010, the King Shaka International Airport has received several accolades. It has the capacity to handle up to 7.5 million passengers per annum, and a 3.7 km runway to enable Airbus A330s and Boeing 747s to land and take off. The airport also boasts a fully-automated cargo terminal – one of only two in South Africa.
